Chapter 4 describe the terminology of objects that it is a crucial expression of ideas. Involving is reality of product design and industrial design that claim a role between technology and users. The interplay a concerns designer is with their own ideas and users is with users.

Chapter five describe another important difference between objects and communications, where objects can exist as a visual form and communications can inform.

chapter six describe environment as a articulation of space and light is a specific characteristics of design

Last class I learn what three discipline of design are, in which industry design creates and develops concepts and specifications. Another is interiors design in which create solution of programmed interiors using aesthetic. The last discipline is communication design in which represents a newer discipline of interactions, experience and motion. Also, we saw the different symbolism. These are symbol is an abstracted message, Icon is the real representation of objects and metaphor is an easy concept to grasp. Finally aspects that we were looking for photography, typography and illustration are creating a clear representation of an image and letters to combine visual elements

First chapter presents the concepts of design. How the world is affects by every person. I didn’t know that design is the most important basic aspect in quality of human life. I learned that design have the obvious references such as fashion, interiors, packaging or cars in many concepts of form and styles.

Second and third chapter describe that the historical evolution and significance of design. Chapter two discusses how the humans began to use natural objects to be used as a tool and they had the ability to design different tools. Darwin’s theory of evolution emphasis on the survival of the fittest and adapt environment.

I found different patterns. All of them I found it at OSU in some different building like Mc Pherson Laboratory, Mathematics Tower, Thompson Library, Central Classroom and sidewalks at OSU. The most basic patterns are based on repetition and periodicity. So, I took pictures of patterns repetition like tile, porcelain, gravel and bricks.  They are the following images:

I read an article about Honda. Honda is a company that it assembles automobiles and motorcycle but Honda has been created an airplane which has been introduced as a new product called Honda jet. The HondaJet is an advanced, lightweight, business jet featuring an extra-large cabin, high fuel efficiency, and high cruise speed compared to existing small business jets. The first flight was conducted on December 2003 in North Caroline. 

This article is important to me because I’m interested to learn how to make and assembled an airplane. I would like to visit a company which is dedicated to join aircraft.

I think that airplanes is related to design because who want to assemble an airplane. As a minimum, they must know about interior and exterior design.  I mean you have to get knowledge about how design an airplane.
